These were simply referred to as 'Standard' watches in original advertisements, with no specific grade designation - available in Hunting or Open Face. When New York Standard transitioned away from the Hanson/Clay patent worm-gear escapement in 1889, they introduced a new line of movements essentially built on the same model using a lever escapement and new setting mechanism.
